Recap: Hilton Head Prep Dolphins vs. Northwood Academy Chargers
The Hilton Head Prep Dolphins won the last time they faced the Northwood Academy Chargers, and things went their way on Friday too. Hilton Head Prep walked away with a 45-36 win over Northwood Academy. Given Hilton Head Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Northwood Academy is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hilton Head Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Campbell, who scored 14 points. Jason Britschge was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Northwood Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah Kasian, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of D Dickson, who scored ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Hilton Head Prep and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Northwood Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilton Head Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Beaufort Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Northwood Academy, they will challenge Ashley Ridge at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
