Cooperstown skates past Unatego with ease

Recap: Cooperstown Hawkeyes vs. Unatego Spartans

The Cooperstown Hawkeyes won the last time they faced the Unatego Spartans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Cooperstown simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spartans 72-42 on the road. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for Cooperstown this season.

Charlie Lambert was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten assists. Lambert is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brody Murdock, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds.

Cooperstown now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Unatego, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Cooperstown will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Unatego, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Deposit-Hancock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
