Celina has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lima Senior recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Spartans at 11:00 a.m. Celina is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Celina didn't have quite enough to beat Ottawa-Glandorf and fell 5-4.

Nick Steinbrunner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Elida hit Lima Senior with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Cooper Twining spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lima Senior saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmanuel Jokinen-Rutz, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Celina's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Lima Senior, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Celina took their victory against Lima Senior in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
