Softball Recap: Hall-Dale Takes Down Lisbon in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Hall-Dale rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lisbon Greyhounds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since May 14th.

The win was the fifth in a row for Hall-Dale, bringing their record up to 16-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lisbon, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-5.

Coming up, Hall-Dale will challenge Dirigo on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 1.7, the Cougars 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Lisbon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
