Baseball Recap: Greencastle Tiger Cubs vs. South Vermillion Wildcats

Greencastle took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Wednesday. They skirted past the South Vermillion Wildcats 7-6. The Tiger Cubs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Sam Gooch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.
