Baseball Game Preview: East Tartans vs. St. Joseph Central Flyers

East is 0-3 against St. Joseph Central since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tartans are taking a road trip to challenge the Flyers at 5:00 p.m. Neither East nor St. Joseph Central posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

East fell victim to Clay and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Central posted their closest victory since May 8, 2024 on Monday. They skirted past Clay 2-1.

Evan Aldridge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, St. Joseph Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Neal, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

East's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. Joseph Central, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6.

East suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to St. Joseph Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Tartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
