Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pinecrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Terry Sanford Bulldogs by a score of 67-57 on Tuesday. The Patriots pushed the score to 47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Among those leading the charge was Caleb Risseeuw, who posted eight points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rebounds (four).

Despite the loss, Terry Sanford still got an impressive performance from Mason Walker, who shot 41% from the field on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Charlie Horne was another key player, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Pinecrest's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Terry Sanford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Pinecrest will challenge Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Terry Sanford, they will square off against E.E. Smith at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
