Soccer Game Preview: Troy vs. Clarkston

The Troy Colts are taking a road trip to challenge the Clarkston Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Troy comes in on three and Clarkston on ten.

Troy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Berkley.

Meanwhile, Clarkston faced Athens in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Wolves put the hurt on the Red Hawks with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Clarkston have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Clarkston, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Troy beat Clarkston by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
