Baseball Recap: Seward Comes Up Short

Seward and Bennington squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Seward had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on Saturday.

Seward saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Loos, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Loos has hit this season.

Seward's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Bennington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

Seward does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bennington, they will take on Gross Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Badgers surely won't give up without a fight.
