Football Recap: Hellgate Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Hellgate's offense. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Glacier Wolfpack. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Vince Paffhausen threw for 27 yards on six of 14 attempts. Cooper Hogan was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards.

Glacier had a senior duo take command as Jackson Presley rushed for 47 yards and three TDs and Asher Knopik rushed for 125 yards and one score on only seven carries. Knopik's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 121 rushing yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Hellgate and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-0 Sentinel (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 100% over those games). As for Glacier, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hellgate will square off against rival Big Sky at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Glacier is set to challenge their familiar foe Sentinel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolfpack 7.4, the Spartans 7.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
