Hononegah has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rockford Auburn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will square off against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hononegah fell victim to Freeport and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pretzels. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Rockford Auburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Harlem, falling 19-7.

Walter Povalitis and Logan Nalley stepped up to the plate in a big way. Povalitis went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Nalley went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Hononegah's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-15. As for Rockford Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 3-19.

Hononegah took their victory against Rockford Auburn in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-1 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
