Softball Game Preview: Conway Bears vs. Mansfield Lions

Conway hasn't had much luck against Mansfield recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. Conway has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Conway fell victim to Norwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 17-0. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Mansfield was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to Willow Springs.

Conway's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Mansfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Conway suffered a grim 24-5 defeat to Mansfield when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
