Softball Recap: Birmingham Comes Up Short

Birmingham scored first but ultimately less than El Camino Real in their match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 5-4. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Royals earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Jasmine Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Bella Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Birmingham and nudges their season record down to 9-10. As for El Camino Real, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-11.

As of now, neither Birmingham nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
