Basketball Game Preview: Chatfield Chargers vs. Rock Canyon Jaguars

The Chatfield Chargers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Rock Canyon Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatfield will be strutting in after a win while Rock Canyon will be coming in after a defeat.

Chatfield will head into Friday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 37) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 victory over Legacy.

Josie Lynch was a one-woman wrecking crew for Chatfield as she posted 19 points along with four blocks and three steals. The dominant performance gave Lynch a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Reed, who put up nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Rock Canyon scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to Mountain Vista 66-61. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rock Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Chatfield, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Chatfield and Rock Canyon were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Chatfield came up empty-handed after a 55-54 defeat.
