Soccer Game Preview: South Columbus vs. Whiteville

The South Columbus Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Whiteville Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Columbus' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, South Columbus didn't have quite enough to beat West Bladen and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Whiteville didn't have quite enough to beat Red Springs on Monday and fell 2-1. Whiteville have struggled against Red Springs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

South Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Whiteville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11-2.

South Columbus suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Whiteville when the teams last played on October 1st. Can the Stallions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
