Football Recap: Tolleson Beats Kellis for Their Sixth Straight Victory + How To Watch

Tolleson extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping them up to 6-0. They took down the Kellis Cougars 21-7. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Wolverines have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Tolleson had a senior duo take command as Rico Blassingame picked up 114 receiving yards and three touchdowns and Youngmin Lee threw for 217 yards and three TDs. Blassingame's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.

Tolleson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ishmail Bangura and Josh Sorle.

As for Kellis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Kellis' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Robert Cordova, who rushed for 78 yards and one score, and Hector Cisneros, who rushed for 47 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolleson will challenge Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Kellis, they will square off against Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Jaguars' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
