Baseball Recap: Riverton Parke Wins Going Away Against Attica

Riverton Parke barely beat Attica the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Red Ramblers with a sharp 12-3 win on Saturday. Considering the Panthers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brody McConnell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Riverton Parke is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Riverton Parke let Eli Roberts and Jackson While run wild. Roberts went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while While went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave While a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Todd, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Riverton Parke was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Attica only posted a batting average of .222.

Riverton Parke's record is now 12-8. As for Attica, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Riverton Parke beat the Red Ramblers by a score of 11-0 later that day.
