Volleyball Recap: Homestead's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Homestead waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Highlanders: when they faced off against the Red Raiders last Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

William Gefke paced Homestead's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gefke got some help from Sean Contardi and his 23 assists. Gefke was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Homestead now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Wauwatosa East, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Homestead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Catholic Memorial on the 4th. As for Wauwatosa East, they will welcome Brookfield Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
