Football Recap: Central Skates Past Dothan with Ease + How To Watch

Central extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They took their match with ease, bagging a 56-28 win over the Dothan Wolves. 56 seems to be a good number for the Red Devils as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Jayshaun Woodhouse produced another solid performance rushing for 150 yards and three TDs on only six carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Central also got a significant boost from Donovan Crow, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 123 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Central's defense and their four sacks. Tristan Lyles was especially locked on to Dothan's QB and sacked him three times. With that strong performance, Lyles is now averaging an impressive 5.5 total tackles per game.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dothan fell to 3-1. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Central: they've now lost six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Dothan lost, don't look at Aj Alexander. Despite the final result, he rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one score.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 53-24 win against Enterprise on the 19th. As for Dothan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 50-28 defeat against Carver Montgomery on the 19th.
