Soccer Game Preview: Southwestern Randolph vs. Providence Grove

The Southwestern Randolph Cougars will head out to face off against the Providence Grove Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Southwestern Randolph has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Providence Grove will arrive with five straight wins.

Southwestern Randolph lost 6-2 to Central Davidson on Thursday. Southwestern Randolph were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Meanwhile, Providence Grove kept a clean sheet against Eastern Randolph on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-0 victory. It was an even better day for Rylee Stover as she scored three goals for her team.

Southwestern Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Providence Grove, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Southwestern Randolph might still be hurting after the 6-2 loss they got from Providence Grove when the teams last played back in March. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Cougars were down 3-0.
