Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Methuen + How To Watch

Methuen entered their tilt with Dracut on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Middies 3-0. The Rangers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Middies, too.

While Methuen won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-16.

Methuen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kathryn Driend led the charge by getting nine digs, five kills, and two aces. Driend has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 20 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aalayah Cortorreal Guerrero, who had ten digs, five kills, and one block.

Methuen's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Dracut, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Methuen will face off against Andover at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dracut, they will take on Lowell Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
