Basketball Recap: Churchill Comes Up Short

Churchill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Eagle Point Eagles, falling 73-27. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Eagles are ranked 93rd).

Churchill's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Eagle Point, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

When Churchill and Eagle Point next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Churchill will take on Springfield and their five-game winning streak at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Eagle Point will try to stop Thurston's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
