Fort Defiance has gone 9-1 against Riverheads recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Fort Defiance Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Riverheads Gladiators at 7:30 p.m.

Fort Defiance will head into Monday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They lost 78-53 to Central Woodstock. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since February 9th.

Meanwhile, Riverheads had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-61 win over Rappahannock County. While the Gladiators didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Riverheads pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Fort Defiance, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went Fort Defiance's way against Riverheads when the teams last played back in January, as Fort Defiance made off with an 86-64 win. Will Fort Defiance repeat their success, or does Riverheads have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
