Pioneer waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Union Mine Diamondbacks by a score of 5-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Ryan Constancio looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marcus Villa, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Covington, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Pioneer's record now sits at 9-6. As for Union Mine, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-3 loss against Lincoln on the 1st. As for Union Mine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-3 victory against El Camino on the 1st.
