Soccer Game Preview: Yuma Catholic vs. ALA - Ironwood

The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks will face off against the ALA - Ironwood Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Yuma Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matches.

Yuma Catholic's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Parker as they made off with a 9-0 victory. Yuma Catholic haven't had any issues with Parker recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but ALA - Ironwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against San Tan Foothills, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that ALA - Ironwood have won by just one goal.

Anthony Aguilar and Konner Hagg scored all three of ALA - Ironwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

The victory got ALA - Ironwood back to even at 5-5. As for Yuma Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 13-1-1.

Yuma Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over ALA - Ironwood in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, winning 4-2. Will the Shamrocks repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
