It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Doddridge County had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the South Harrison Hawks. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Madelyn Barker looked comfortable as she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brooke Dehaven was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Maysun Gagnon, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Doddridge County's record now sits at 25-6. As for South Harrison, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14.
