Recap: Lewisburg Baptist Academy Lions vs. Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors
After a string of seven wins dating back to last season, the Lewisburg Baptist Academy Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Mount Hope Christian Academy 73-42. Lewisburg Baptist Academy has not had much luck with Mount Hope Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lewisburg Baptist Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Holliday, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holliday has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Austin Beane, who scored 12 points.
JOSIAH MCKOY had an outrageously good game for Mount Hope Christian Academy as he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. NOLAN CARNEY was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds.
Lewisburg Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-9.
Lewisburg Baptist Academy will head out on the road to face off against Morgantown Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Victory Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Landon Cormican and CARNEY.
