Who's up and who's down

This week's postseason action didn't throw the rankings into complete disarray, but it did reorder the standings a decent amount. A special shoutout goes to Archbishop Rummel's junior Chandler Fields, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.

Welcome

The power rankings welcomes a newcomer to the scene as Carver Collegiate Academy earned the 25th spot after its strong showing last week. It had all the answers against Bastrop, winning 50 - 24. One major factor in the victory was the play of senior Izea Hurst, who tossed the ball for 304 yards and three TDs.

Can't Touch This

Even though Picayune was bested by Laurel 42 - 35 last week, Picayune's senior Shaun Anderson played one heck of a game. He rushed for 239 yards and two touchdowns. That performance made Anderson one of the best players in the power rankings last week.

Can't Stop Won't Stop

Poplarville has been an offensive powerhouse for five straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. It came out on top against St. Stanislaus with a 42 - 31 win. Poplarville found its leader in an underclassman: Cory Knight earned three touchdowns and 138 yards rushing the ball, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players. With 12 consecutive wins, Poplarville boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
