There's no place like home for Civic Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Jersey Panthers on Thursday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Civic Memorial never let Jersey on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 27-25.

Civic Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Ari Leslie and Mylie Ramirez certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Leslie had nine digs, while Ramirez had six digs.

Civic Memorial's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12. As for Jersey, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-23-1 record this season.

Civic Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Richland County on the 26th. Jersey has also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Effingham on the 29th.
