Softball Recap: Winfield Beats Scott for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Winfield barely beat Scott the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Generals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Skyhawks an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Winfield's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Scott, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-10.

Winfield has already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Nitro on the 1st. As for Scott, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Chapmanville Regional on the 30th.
