Baseball Recap: Johnston Falls Short Against Ranked Pleasant Valley

Johnston faced Pleasant Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Dragons fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since June 4th.

Johnston's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9. As for Pleasant Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Johnston has already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against North Scott on the 27th. As for Pleasant Valley, they will face off against Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
