Volleyball Recap: Bayside Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bayside Academy extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 32-16. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the St. Paul's Episcopal Saints. That's more bragging rights for the Admirals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Among those leading the charge was Julia Savage, who had nine digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last four games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Bayside Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

As for St. Paul's Episcopal, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 26-16. Their loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Defeat or not, St. Paul's Episcopal got some senior leadership from Kendall Dougherty and Lula Payne. Dougherty had ten digs and six assists, while Payne had nine digs and one assist.

Bayside Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against McGill-Toolen on the 23rd. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Enterprise on the 23rd.
