Soccer Recap: Wright City Takes a Loss

Wright City lost against Missouri Military Academy back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats came up short against the Fighting Colonels, falling 9-2. While losing is never fun, Wright City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Missouri Military Academy are ranked 98th).

Wright City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Missouri Military Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Wright City will square off against Hazelwood East at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wright City will be up against Hazelwood East's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.56 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Missouri Military Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Canton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
