Reynoldsburg has gone 8-2 against Newark recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Reynoldsburg Raiders will head out to take on the Newark Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Reynoldsburg is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Reynoldsburg beat Lancaster 57-51. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Golden Gales are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Newark took on Pickerington North on Tuesday. Newark simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pickerington North 71-37. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Newark is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for Reynoldsburg, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Everything came up roses for Reynoldsburg against Newark when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 62-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reynoldsburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
