Baseball Game Preview: McNary Celtics vs. West Salem Titans

For the second straight game, McNary will face off against West Salem. The Celtics will square off against the Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

McNary took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out West Salem 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Celtics as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Camden Sajovic spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, McNary saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Price, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

McNary's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-10. As for West Salem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
