Basketball Recap: West Pioneers vs. Northwest Grizzlies
West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Northwest Grizzlies and fell 79-52. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd in Kansas, while the Grizzlies are ranked 35th in Kansas).
West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Treg Hardeman, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Maholmes, who scored nine points and five boards.
