Preview: Williams Field Black Hawks vs. American Leadership Academy Patriots
The Williams Field Black Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the American Leadership Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Williams Field is ranked 15th, while American Leadership Academy is ranked eighth).
Williams Field missed an extra point against Perry on Friday and it came back to haunt them. Williams Field and Perry were almost perfectly matched up, but Williams Field suffered an agonizing 31-30 defeat. Williams Field has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Williams Field's loss came about despite a quality game from Dylan Lee, who rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Lee's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Kody Guy was another key contributor, rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, American Leadership Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 21-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland.
The losses dropped Williams Field to 5-3 and American Leadership Academy to 6-2.
