Softball Recap: Badger Triumphs

Badger came out on top against Indian Trail on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Badgers took their contest against the Hawks 7-3. For the Badgers, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2018.

Charlotte Golz was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Claire Polyock was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Badger's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Indian Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Badger will challenge Westosha Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Indian Trail, they will face off against Whitnall at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
