Softball Recap: Buhl Find Success

Buhl won the last time they faced Mountain Home and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Indians walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meghan Blacker made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Blacker was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Buhl let Jenna Ambrose and Adalyn Pearson run wild. Ambrose scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Pearson scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Pearson a new career-high in doubles (two). Aubry Kinyon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Buhl back to even at 5-5. As for Mountain Home, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buhl will challenge Wendell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 14.4 runs per game this season. As for Mountain Home, they will take on Canyon Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Riverhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
