Volleyball Recap: Veritas Collegiate Academy Comes Up Short

The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans came up short against the Quantico Warriors on Friday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-3, 25-10.

Quantico's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christyann Bergamo, who had six aces and four digs. Bergamo has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angeleah Milton, who had six aces.

Veritas Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Quantico, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Collegiate Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Fairfax Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quantico, they will challenge Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
