Football Recap: Frostproof Takes a Loss

Frostproof lost against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Frostproof Bulldogs took a 13-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Explorers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Explorers are ranked 132nd).

The critical scores for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy came from Madisyn McDonnell and Caralyn Izzo.

Frostproof's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Frostproof and George Jenkins will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. George Jenkins is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 40.6 points per game this season. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Discovery at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's offense hasn't had much luck over their past six games, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
