Basketball Game Preview: Ninety Six Wildcats vs. Pelion Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ninety Six Wildcats challenge the Pelion Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday... Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Ninety Six lost to Strom Thurmond on the road by a 53-35 margin. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pelion was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 37-31 to Strom Thurmond.

Pelion has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Ninety Six, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Ninety Six took their win against Pelion in their previous matchup on January 14th by a conclusive 49-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ninety Six since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
