Football Game Preview: Delran Bears vs. Haddon Heights Garnets + Official Tickets

The Delran Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Haddon Heights Garnets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Haddon Heights took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Delran, who comes in off a win.

Delran's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Penns Grove 49-0. That looming 49-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Delran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Giovanni Marshall-Edwards and Justin Mary. Marshall-Edwards got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Delran, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Micah Davison, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Haddon Heights was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Woodstown, falling 27-6. The loss continues a trend for the Garnets in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost four in a row.

The victory made it two in a row for Delran and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games. As for Haddon Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Delran strolled past Haddon Heights in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 27-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
