Softball Recap: South Amboy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Timothy Christian on Friday, South Amboy came back down to earth. The Governors fell just short of the Piscataway Chiefs by a score of 18-17 on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (15), the Governors still had to take the loss.

South Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Piscataway, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

South Amboy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-17 loss against Wardlaw Hartridge on the 19th. As for Piscataway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-0 defeat against East Brunswick Vo-Tech on the 20th.
