Football Game Preview: Joliet vs. Scobey/Opheim

Scobey/Opheim may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. Joliet and Scobey/Opheim go head to head on Saturday in their first playoff match of the year. Scobey/Opheim know how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Joliet like a good challenge.

Joliet might be getting used to good results now that the squad has eight wins in a row. They strolled past Park City with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 32-15.

Last Friday, Scobey/Opheim put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Powder River County as the team secured a 58-14 win. Scobey/Opheim were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Their wins bumped Joliet to 8-0 and Scobey/Opheim to 6-3. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
