Football Recap: Horizon Prep Falls Despite Big Games from JJ Garcia and Lochlan Church

Horizon Prep lost against Southlands Christian back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell 26-14 to the Eagles.

Horizon Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Lochlan Church and JJ Garcia. Church gained 111 total yards and a touchdown, while Garcia picked up 24 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Horizon Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southlands Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

After each having a week off, Horizon Prep and Warner will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:15 p.m. on the 26th. As for Southlands Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Noli Indian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
