Volleyball Game Preview: Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions vs. WISH Academy Owls

Los Angeles Leadership Academy has gone a perfect 4-0 against WISH Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Owls at 2:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Los Angeles Leadership Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Smidt Tech and fell 3-2. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Grey Wolves 25-20 in the first set.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Smidt Tech work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 20-25, 26-24, 15-9.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for WISH Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Varsity Opponent 3-0 on Wednesday.

WISH Academy was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.

WISH Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy took their victory against WISH Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
