Basketball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista Takes a Loss

Rancho Buena Vista lost against Carlsbad back in February of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns took an 81-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carlsbad Lancers. The Longhorns were up 26-12 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the loss, Rancho Buena Vista still got an impressive performance from CJ Aldrich, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Matthew Horn, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and five rebounds.

Rancho Buena Vista has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Carlsbad, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Rancho Buena Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-61 victory against Vista on the 24th. As for Carlsbad, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-53 win against El Camino on the 24th.
