Mater Dei Catholic came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Southwest SD Raiders by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Oskar Manguy-Meza paced Mater Dei Catholic's offense, picking up seven kills. Manguy-Meza got some help from Aaron Wood and his 22 assists. Wood was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Mater Dei Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Southwest SD, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
