Soccer Game Preview: Rock Island vs. Dunlap + How To Watch

Rock Island hasn't had much luck against Dunlap recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rocks will challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rock Island comes in on five and Dunlap on three.

Rock Island is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Marmion. That's two games straight that Rock Island have won by just one goal.

Ramadhan Sango and Jonas Cortez scored both of Rock Island's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Dunlap who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Kankakee's three. Even though Dunlap got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Bret Hansen was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Rock Island's win bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Dunlap, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3-3.

Rock Island might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Dunlap when the teams last played back in September of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rocks were down 4-1.
